I have shown pictures of Percy's body color before and how it now changes. There was hardly any pink spots before, but in just a couple of week there are a lot of them! Now both Mariah and I think that she is changing color on her mussel as well.
I also managed to get a picture of her "private parts" They are actually light grey, not dark grey/black as in most horses. According to Sponenberg "Horse Color Genetics" Champagne is the only color that lightens the skin pigment. But I have found information on the internet on double creme horses that have lighter skin as well as that the silver gene lightens the skin slightly. I don't believe that Percy is carrying the champagne color (especially before she stated to get pink spots on her nose as freckles are characteristics of Champagne).
On thing is for sure - that horse has a lot of secrets and unexpected traits. And I am not only talking about her looks.
