Bunny, Mira & Tea

I tisdags försökte Maria fotografera hästarn i rörelse i hagen. Vi tänkte härliga höstbilder med hela flocken i galopp...

Mira

Det var lättare sagt än gjort. Vi försökte med alla möjliga saker för att få dem att röra sig, men det gick så där. Först trodde vi (naivt) att det skulle räcka med att låta Pepper återse Bunny och Mira. Ingen reaktion - han stod och nosade i andra delar av hagen. Sedan släppte vi in Percy med och jag försökte jaga igång dem. Tveksam reaktion. Sedan sprang jag iväg med Calinka utanför hagen. Det gav visst resultat. Eftersom Calinka verkade vara i farten släppte jag henne och Tea med flocken och lät Pepper vara i hagen bredvid. Då gick det äntligen att få lite fart på dem och jag sprang bakom (det var nog det roligaste att se). Men Maria hade ända problem - med så mycket yta kan hästarna röra sig lite som de känner för och inte givet som fotografen är placerad...

Nåja, jag älskar Rockysarnas temperament i de flesta fall. Däremot kan de ge problem att få bilder på annat än hästar som betar. Tur att det gick att få travhästen att liva upp dem något. Maria sa att hon helst vill glömma denna fotografering...

Bunny & Mira. Mira hardly ever trots so this was an unusual picture. I also like that they are coordinated.

Photo time

At Tuesday Maria tried to photo the horses while they ran in the pasture. We thought about the beautiful Autumn colors and the herd cantering...

Pepper

That was easier said than done. We tried a lot of things to get them to move. We thought ( naively) that to let Pepper meet with Bunny and Mira might give us some action. No reaction - Pepper just scanned the pasture for nice smells... We got Percy with the crowed and I tried to "hunt" them. Not a lot of reaction either. Then I ran with Calinka outside the pasture and we got slightly more reactions. But as Calinka seemed to be up in energy I got her and Tea in the mix and put Pepper in the other pasture. Then finally I could get some reaction by "hunting" them. (But the most fun part was probably to see me run around). Still, Maria was in trouble as they didn't really follow her scheme of were to be...

Well, I love my Rockies and their temper is good in most occasions. But trying to get nice expressive photos in the pasture might need some work. Lucky I had my old STB that could get them slightly up in speed. Maria said she wanted to forget all about it...
