Boxvila

Om jag nu måste ha häst på boxvila måste jag säga att det är väldigt bra ordnat nu: De vilande hästarna står mitt i lösdriften så övriga hästar söker sig dit. Dessutom ger placeringen vettig överblick över ena hagen och en möjlighet att se kompisar även när de är en bit bort. Det hela blir komplett med en liten rasthage utanför. Då får de lite större yta och bäst av allt: möjlighet att hälsa över staketet på alla hästarna. Det är ändå stort nog att komma undan och vid behov går det att se till att andra hästar inte kommer nära nog för att nosa. Enligt mig är det bland det bästa man kan ordna om en häst behöver stå på boxvila - så många behov som möjligt uppfylls. (Skulle det vara så att hästen inte trivs med att ha hästar så nära inpå sig går det så klart också att ordna.)

Och - Emblas ben är mycket bättre och har rätat up sig fint. Nu får hon vara ute mycket mer om dagarna.

Stall rest

If I need to have a horse staying indoors at rest all day long I have to say that I like to do it as I have it now. The horse that rests has the stall in the middle of the shelter. Then the other horses often come by and the horse have a fairly good view over one of the pasture -being ale to watch the friends even when they are at a distance. To complete the place they also got a very small pasture straight outside. That way the horse get some more space, but not much possibility to move to much. The way I have it made the horse in the stall can interact with its friends over the fences, but has enough space to get away and not be forced to socialize. As good as it can be in my opinion if a horse have to be kept alone in a smaller area. (If the horse in the stall wouldn't like the others to be so close, that could also be looked after).

And - Embla's leg is much better and has straighten up  nicely. Now she spends more time in the pasture.
